Harry took his new video camera (a gift from my parents) everywhere during our long, strange trip.
Herewith, the first part of what he saw. Aside from the out-takes which largely feature me in various states of undress.
As the movie's a little too large to show properly here, kindly visit my YouTube Channel to view.

What a wonderful time! Thanks, Harry, for shooting this film. It was brilliant!
Franklin, as one kilt wearer to another, please post a picture of yourself in your kilt. What tartan did you choose?
Wow, that was great! Can't wait for the next video. Sure looked like a wonderful time was had by all.
Ken, Franklin looks great in his kilt! All of the women at Knitting Camp last year thought so anyway!
Harry, please keep filming! You've found your calling!
Sara
That was wonderful Harry! I would have liked to have seen Franklin in his kilt.
Wonderful!
Oh my goodness - thank you so much, Harry, for sharing your Knit Nation trip with me. I wanted to attend so badly but I just couldn't make it work this year. I can't wait to see what happened during Sock Summit '11 - were you in the flash mob too?!?!
You are one lucky guy... do you think Franklin would adopt me so I could go next year?
Well done, Harry! Looking forward to the next bits.
Harry, you get 5 stars ***** ...
I knew it would be wonderful the moment I heard Noel Coward singing!
Thanks for the vicarious thrills -- wish I could have been there.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. I've thought about trying the Portuguese method, too (about 10:50 into the vid). Let us know what you think of it. Looking forward to Part Deux.
Bravo, Harry!
Oh Harry you must bring Franklin to come see me again soon xx
This is wonderful - loved the footage of the podcaster meet up especially (despite not being keen on seeing myself on camera!) Thank you for sharing, Harry and Franklin :-)
lovely
Thanks for sharing Harry's take on your trip. Love those videos! I would like to see Franklin in his kilt, though.
Do you know what Sara of A Playful Day was wearing on her shoulders? A lovely blue Mobius? A shawl wrapped around? It sure was great looking, and could be my 138th knitted shawl/wrap! Perhaps you can persuade her to identify the pattern.
Thanks!
Great work, Harry! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Great vid Harry!
The pod cast group -- the lady with the light turquoise moebius shawl -- have any idea what the pattern is and if it's on Ravelry?
Looking forward to your next video!!!
sweet, dear harry! now you MUST make an appearance in your movie a la alfred hitchcock!
What great fun! Thanks for the film, Harry! I agree with Anne Marie, you should make an appearance in your videos!
Aaawww, that was great! It eased my most recent bruises to mind and spirit. The Panopticon gang are great company. Thank you!!
Great video, thank you Harry! Loved all the different accents. Knit Nation must have been a blast.
Brilliant! Wonderful to hear the voices and see the faces (and footwear) of Knit Nation. And Harry, I'm sorry that Wooly Wormhead scared you, but must admit that I did Laugh Out Loud at that bit. Was that the voice of Tom near the end of the video, telling Harry to wave?

this is fab Harry, it was lovely to re-live all the Knit Nation memories! Not overly keen at seeing or hearing myself on camera but was lovely footage of the podcaster meet up! Looking forward to part 2 xxxx
Looks like a good time was had by all (except Delores?).
Loved it! Can't wait to see the sock summit portion. I took your class but alas didn't get to see Harry! Tre disappointment!
Thanks for the great video! Hope it's OK if I answer a few of the comments--the shawl worn by the lovely Kate from A Playful Day is my pattern "Sugared Violets" and it's available on Ravelry. Her shawl is simply gorgeous--love the color.
Omigosh, that was SO FUN! I'll have some popcorn popped and wine poured for Part Two.
I enjoyed this very much... Thanks for sharing your adventure, I look forward to the other episodes :)
Harry, you're a fabulous film maker!
What great fun! I so enjoyed this film and can't wait to watch the next one.
Thank a thousand time, when I watch it, it remind me a lot of feeling I had during Knit Nation ; we didn't meet (I was there on Sunday) :-( maybe next time ? (but not sure I'll speak in front of your cam LOL)

What great fun! Thanks for the film, Harry! I agree with Anne Marie, you should make an appearance in your videos!
