Harry's Home Movies: Concluded

The last of Harry's travel trilogy–highlights of Sock Summit 2011–is now up and running on our YouTube Channel.

Before you click over, I feel compelled to warn you that some scenes of this installment may prove disturbing to very young children and anyone who doesn't quite understand the whole yarn thing.

But that's their problem, innit?

Harry, you made people queuing up in Perth, then walking in to a craft fair look quite staid!

Indeed, it is their problem....

Thanks for the wonderful peek at Sock Summit. I think I'll have to start saving hard so I can go to the next one!

And I'm looking forward to the film of the next trip that you make....

Harry, can you say, "Oscar worthy'? I can't wait for the "Next Thing". Perhaps Stitches Midwest?

Hi Harry,

I totally enjoyed your movies about the yarn events that I couldn't attend myself, somebody has to continue making a living, so that she can save money to one day travel to those fabulous knitting events. I'm looking forward to meeting one day, maybe at MD Sheep and Wool, Rhinebeck or Vogue Knitting Live NYC?

OF COURSE we want more of your movies Harry, in fact you making more movies isn't even optional, you HAVE to! Because you've made the days your movies came out so much better.

Is gothsock the new Wollmeise?

thanks, harry! I got to see some people up close and personal (like clara parkes).

isn't mt. hood fabu? even from a plane, or in downtown portland, it is a spectacular sight.

I just wish you had taken some more film at the end; franklin rolls over and...(lets imagination wander off, just like dolores would do [very naughty thoughts indeed!])

smooches!

***** Harry. It was almost like being there!

Please bring Franklin and Tom to the Oscars if you get nominated ... you can wear your royal wedding regalia.

(and you have one tiny grammatical error in the title page "to" video - because we aim for perfection, darling)

Hope to meet you one day!

Best Sock Summit video yet! Bravo Harry. More films please......

P.S. Clara Parkes shows such good taste. No wonder you have a crush on her. I think she has a crush on you too.

Awww how cute! glad you all had a great time.

Angel said...

Please, Harry, more movies. It was great to see you interact with knitters and the people who supply them.
Clara Parkes is one special person just as you are one special ball of yarn.

Harry! I'm in your movie! Right at the beginning. I'm one of the door volunteers. That's me in the green shirt. I'm glad you weren't trampled in the rush at the beginning!
I must say Clara Parkes has really good taste.

Harry, Will you be at the Men's Fall Knitting Retreat at Dumas Bay next week? If so, you might want to keep the camera home - what happens in Dumas Bay stays at Dumas Bay, right? Just sayin....

Fantastic! I hope your adventure at Stitches Midwest is just as grand and perhaps there will be some film there as well? Lovely meeting you at Sock Summit.

This was hilarious. I love watching people practicing for their "flash mob." The hilarity is simply infectious!

LindaV said...

Harry darling you are a true auteur! I can't wait to meet you in Franklin's history of lace class at VK Live. I'll be ready for my close-up.

P.S., If Dolores gets 20% of the gross I want 40.

Harry, can you ask Franklin to check on your movie? When I follow the link YouTube says "no movie". It doesn't appear in the list of Franklin's videos either . . .

steptrig said...

I love love love the home movies Harry! One thing tho... why doesn't Franklin let you and Dolores be in front of the camera?

FiberQat said...

Harry, you have done a fine job. Please continue to document your adventures because without them our lives would be bereft.

(I'm glad you were able to avoid the thundering herds at the opening of the Marketplace)

And yet there are some people who just don't get the whole knitting thing. Incredible.

(Thank you for making me laugh so much when I should have been working...)

G. K. Green said...

Yes, Harry/Franklin, more videos, please, and thank you. (You did ask, after all.)

Sara said...

Thanks to Franklin for posting your travelogues. It is great fun to be in the presence of so many great knitters through your camera lens. Bring us more of the world, Harry.

Thank you for your videos! Harry really knows how to capture the zeitgeist in pixels.

Dear Harry, please tell us you filmed at Stitches, too! It was much fun, and I promise that I didn't throw any of your cousins. In fact, I adopted a house-payment-worth of them, which is why I may never make it to Sock Summit. Thanks, Harry - love ya byebye!

greetings from a country with different copyright laws,

I'm sorry, but every time I see the name Harry Bollasockyarn I read it as "Bollocksockyarn" - are you guys over in the US familiar with the "B" word, so popular here in Britain?

Great film, thanks again for the wonderful class at Knit Nation x
