I thought Loretta was a sculpture of an ear so I have to agree with the poster, Tamar, above me that Loretta looks like a good listener.

You might want to check the base and see if that is a Van Briggle (what a family name) piece. If Loretta IS a Van Briggle she is worth a whole lot more than the $4 you paid.
