Bleargh

Am (and have been) sick as a dog, and an overly-full work schedule is not helping. Posting will resume as soon as possible.

It's the pits when your poor health and day job get in the way of our enjoying your blog. Hope you return to health soon.

Hope you feel better soon. Is nursing the sick one of Dolores' many skill sets? Or will she at least stop smoking in the apartment?

Sending you one of my Great-grandmother's hot toddies.

Cup of hot tea
Lemon and Sugar/Honey to taste
One Shot of whiskey (your choice)
Mix and Drink
Repeat as needed nightly

GUARANTEED to knock you on your butt and get a good night sleep. She swore by them, had one each night, and lived to be 97. I can't remember her ever sick.

Feel better soon, we miss the updates and the glimpses into your world.

Oh, please rest and get better! We have spent the past month beginning with the flu 3/24 and morphing into pneumonia for my husband and 86 year old mother, who lives with us. She ended up in the hospital for a week, and is now in rehab, briefly. Simultaneously, I was healing the stump on a black rescue sheep, Kali Baa (perhaps a relative of Dolores?), who lost a foot. I lost a goat two weeks from kidding to P.Tenuis, and I've been treating a traumatic eye injury of unknown origin on our pony. Too much! Take care of yourself. Sleeping and moaning allowed.

rho said...

if it is that cough thing going around be careful - lots of people in our area have had it morph into pneumonia....

have I said here how much I HATE word verification.... they are really really hard with dyslexia... and spell check is no help at all with them LOL

Anonymous said...

For the love of sheep, don't cough on Dolores! One of you has to be out there earning the rent money.

Aidan said...

Sorry you are not feeling well.

You didn't by any chance recently name Dolores as beneficiary on your life insurance, did you? You might want to skip that "special, soothing almond tea" she's offering you at night.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Dolores will bring you over a kind, handsome, smart medical professional who believes in the laying on of hands and wants to learn how to knit.

I'm reading a book, Later, At the Bar by Rebecca Barry and came across this line:
"he spent the rest of the time in his apt watching TV and crocheting, a skill he'd picked up in jail." Good to know that not only knitting is taught in jail.

Hope you're feeling better.

Geez, what's up in the blogosphere? You're sick, the Yarn Harlot's sick, I'm sick ...

I hope you feel better soon. If you have any friends who practice Reiki, get them over there right quick! (I wouldn't be surprised if Dolores is a Reiki Master).

Feel Better, Franklin!

I'm very interested to know how much you enjoyed Eleanor's books and if you ever did any research on her background.
