Postcard

Postmark: Coalville, Utah; August 3

Have made friends with group of motorcycle enthusiasts, having marvelous time much fresh air and stimulating conversation while touring the plains. Am buddy riding with Tootsie, ample fellow who shares interest in political science, vegetarian cooking. One of riders, Snake, says he met you once and asks if you recall fondly weekend in Gstaad? Or maybe was Des Moines? Victorine sends you bisoux as do I. All is forgiven about credit card, was able to pay for stone massage by trading your leather vest and armband. Kisses, D

I wasn't aware sheep were migratory. Huh.
Please warn us if she heads towards Texas.

The poor dear must be bored to tears in Utah. I'll bet they're heading west towards Nevada.

Oh....I bet that you miss her and wish that she had taken you along. If you get lonely, we have a lot of sheep up here in SW Wisconsin.

I am torn between concern that Utah may not be ready for Dolores and indignation that anyone should think she wouldn't find it fun here.
There is plenty of fun to be had in Utah, if you know where to look, and I am sure she does know.

I have to say that it would scare me to piss you off. The evil, vengeful, passive-aggressive sentiment you pour into your cartoon character could easily be used against your enemies.

Hmmmm.

It sounds to me as if Dolores is on her way to Sturgis.

Sturgis and its 650,000 temporary inhabitants for the next week will never be the same, I'm afeered.

Does this mean that Delores won't be joining you at Stitches Midwest this weekend? We may need to tell security to stand down...

Please come by and say HI - I'll be at the Grafton Fibers booth (#725, I think). I would love to meet you.

Ah, Coalville UT. We got caught there in a terrible blizzard one year driving home from the Oregon coast to Denver.

You are so lucky -- Marcy is the nicest, most interesting knitter I've met in a long time. We must invite her to a knit night out sometime.

Missing you and all the folks at home. We'll be back soon.
