OOOOH, Franklin how could you? :) I started a little brown top w/twist stitches and fringe. Then I read your entry and looked in the mirror. I'm going for the baby blue merino instead.LOL

I love your humor, you are so fierce!

I wonder what the creator of the knitted brain has to say about this.

Does this mean you can only knit stockinette? With maybe some nice cables?

Okay...do you have a constant flow of weird, twisted ideas that flow through your brain, and you just give us a sampling, or do you have infrequent inspirations that mostly all make it into cartoons on your blog?

Very funny shit.

That's a wonderful cartoon!

How about a 2007 Knitting Calendar?

For you to create and us to purchase (with maybe some small portion of the price going to a charity).

For the record, I will not be knitting a Boobie scarf.

How cool this place is! I'd like a copy of 'Mary receiving yarn', i'm a mary... one of zillions it seems. I love your blog, I love the cartoons!!! If you'd be interested in my purchasing one... and you have time - please let me know...

Dear Anon:

Charity begins at home. Franklin has to pay for his yarn somehow! He won't always be able to rely on his looks.

But the idea of a calendar is a good one. You have an awesome talent, Franklin. There is a lot of power in laughter.

Please, though, only use your power for good.

I love your cartoons. I just had to pop in and say that I enjoyed listening to you on my iPod. You are an awesome storyteller and writer.

That is so insightful. Gives me pause with all the baby sh%$ I knit (specially since I'm not a mom)

So I suppose all those years doing colorwork explain these blotches on my forehead?

I'm afraid. Cables suddenly seem like a Very Bad Idea.

I second (or third) the calendar idea - or maybe even cards? Well done Franklin!

Sheepthrills list discussed barbie (yeah, the doll)as a spinner. You are the one person I could imagine who could pull that image off.

I shall now happily refer to myself as only an 'intermediate' knitter for the rest of my life.

Although the word loopy could be used equally to describe both my current knitting project and mental state...

Imagine...soon they'll be parsing our knitting projects as some kind of ink-blot test.

I'm going to stop knitting now.

Does that mean I am going to end up looking like my drop-stitch pullover? How would that look..? Hmm... I'll have to keep an eye on that!

I can't wait for YOUR book.

Cute! LOL...how was Stitches in Britches?

Does this mean you're growing hair?

Helen said...

Oh no!
Is that what happened to my hair?
but wait, I'm knitting not knitting fur stitch.....
...
I'm fourthing (or whatever) the prompt for a calendar! Heck, do one that starts in July -- I don't wanna wait!
..
Meanwhile, I find it delightful that my word verification "word" ends in vbg .. since that's what you so often leave me with

Oh my!
This either says I have a lot of character OR my head/face is one GIANT mess!
(Opting for the latter!)

Okay, by this arguement, I need to go cast on some size six clothing in a freakishly skinny yarn. That should combat the unfortunate effect a desk job and a sedentary hobby have had on me. . .
