Lurching Toward Epiphany: Day Seven

On the seventh day of Christmas, Dolores gave to me

Day Seven

seven kegs a-brimming,
six queens sashaying,
five Highland Flings,
four letter words,
three clenched men,
two hurtled jugs,
and a party that lasted 'til three.

(Happy New Year, everybody, and thank you all for your support, encouragement and good cheer through a thrilling and often scary 2008. I hope 2009 will bring peace and abundance to all of us! Love, Franklin)

My NYE ritual is to make a list of all the outgoing year's good stuff, and burn it; make a list of all the outgoing year's bad stuff, and burn it; and make a list of all my wants for the incoming year, and burn it. I made my lists in the order of how things came to mind, and you, Franklin, were #2 of 36 items of good for 2008. Had 10 baddies and a few wants for 2009, but really, you were a true highlight of 2008. Thank you. PS: my word verification letters spell my last name to the first five letters....a good sign somehow for 2009? --- Mindy from ABQ

Oh, Franklin, whatever will you do by the twelfth day? Poor Harry looks as though he'd like a good soak in Soak. Thank you so much for allowing us to follow along with your adventures--1,000 Knitters, The Book, and the ever-lovely (and lucky) Abigail and her parade of stunning handknits. You make my day regularly, and I'd lay money that I'm not the only one. Thank you so much, and a happy, healthy New Year to you and yours.

P.S. I did get my badge and letter for hosting Dolores! Thanks!

  14. You are definitely a part of my yearly "TO DO" list - any year without you, Harry, and yes even Dolores would be a year without sunshine. Have a Great Year -all of you!

  23. Being math geeks, we can't help but point out that in the song, you get the most of the sevens and the sixes... that'd be a total of 42 queens and kegs over the twelve days. Sounds just about perfect. :)

    I love these; thanks!

  24. I have this strange feeling Dolores would get on terribly well with the rugby team ;-)

  27. Usually I don't read article on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to take a look at and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thanks, quite nice article.

  28. You laugh at me for being gw2 gold different, but I laugh at you for being the same. Experience gw2 gold is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson gw2 gold afterwards. Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.
