That's a fine lookin' sock ya got there! Can I ask what book it is your reading? The idea of translating the wierd and wonderful (knitting) stuff in my head into actual knitting is somewhat intoxicating...
I love your use of "tick tock" for the shawl, because my first impression when I glanced at the photo was that it was a musical score, not a knitting chart. (The "tick tock" of the metronome and all.) Which of course makes me feel guilty that the cello sits untouched. Tick-tock, tick-tock, not enough ticks or tocks in the day to do all of the knitting *and* music I'd like to do.
(Oh, and very nice socks. They look like they're comfy, in addition to pretty. As lovely as I'm sure your ass is, I'll pass on the slapping part. But I'm happy to call you Sally, for such a fine job on the sock.)

It doesn't seem to have taken you long to get a good result from your spinning. I've an uneducated eye, but I'd knit what you've got on the bobbin.
