Sharon and Kathy of our own, dear Arcadia Knitting, have agreed to host the shoot in their shop at 1613 West Lawrence in Chicago (for more details about the location, visit their Web site). We'll begin promptly at noon and continue until ten minutes before closing.
I'm not going to ask for advance sign-ups, but depending upon the level of interest there may be a numbering system for participants so that nobody has to stand in line when s/he could be playing in the yarn stacks.
Those are all the details for now. If you're interested, just make a note on your calendar and watch this space.
If you can't make it on this day, don't fret. There will be others. And I am going to see as many folks individually or in smaller groups as my schedule will allow. I have finally got my own summer plans hammered out sufficiently to respond to the inquiries with firm suggestions.
Jeepers, I can't wait to meet y'all.

How about having your event at other shops around the city? I have a major issue with Arcadia. I refuse to walk in there place. Let's just say that I have never been treated by a store like I was treated by them...yes, it was pretty bad.

Good lord, I have not a maternal bone in my body for all practical purposes, and I totally melted. Yep, she looks like she should've been a pre-Raphaelite model. You and the parents will just have to make up for the lack of painters with photos. ;)

I am sooo not a baby person. I usually think human babies are quite unattractive, but that little girl is adorable! Mona Lisa smile....her parent's will have to beat off the boys (or girls)with sticks in 15 or 16 years.

But that picture has me reaching for the needles I don't even own and don't know how to use! My entire subconscious is clamoring, "Must . . . Knit . . . For . . . Cute . . . Baby." I can only imagine what it's doing for the real knitters on your blog!

I'd be happy to sit for a picture and give you a tour of some of the non-Boston-non-T-accessible yarn shops (you know, west of 495) and give you a place to host a stream of knitters for photographs. (Provided it's not the week of the wedding or something, of course).
I so totally dislike children, but that is ONE CUTE BABY - OH MY GOD! (And where can *I* find an adorable lavender gingham suit, hmmm?)

1,000 knitters - an amazing concept. I told my hubby about it and wishing we were closer to Chicago. His reply, "geez, with tickets so cheap - you should sign up! So, if you get to a point that you need a California knitter for your project, let me know, I'll hop on a place, knit a row and visit my non-knitter friend in Hoffman Estates!!
