Another Postcard

New Hope

Postmark: New Hope, Pennsylvania; August 20

Tootsie apparently has terrible sense of direction. We are supposed to be in Nevada. Am sitting by train tracks writing this and knitting leg warmers while he and boys go antiques shopping. Victorine is making complete nuisance of herself, says American hay inferior to Canadian and is giving her crise de foie. I think it might have something to do with pouring Jack Daniels over her Cheerios in the morning. Do you miss me, cupcake? Love D

  2. I've been wondering what Dolores was up to. Is she ever coming home??

  3. And she hasn't managed to crash Joe's place and wreak havoc?

  4. Holy crap! Dolores is in the same state as me? I thought I felt a disturbance in the space-time continuum.

Huh. I wouldn't have thought antique-y little New Hope would have been Dolores' cup of tea....

Well, it all depends on what sort of antiques...

    obscure

    Oh. My. God.

    Victorine is from Québec.

Chuis avec toi, ma belle. Get off the Jack and get Fluffybuns there to get you some decent wine. Tabarnak, qu'elle est nuuuuul. Courage, Victorine, courage. Don't forget your sequined thong. Trust me, you'll need it.

  8. Is she going to Joe's? OMG - I can see Dolores set up at Rhinebeck, selling her memoir "My Life with Franklin - What Every Blogfan Wants to Know".

  9. Dolores--for a small fee, I can give you the addresses of Joe, Kathy and Liza. For a C-note extra, you get cell phone numbers.

My advice for No Hope sightseeing is to have yourself several Margheritas at Havana. I may meet you there.

Dolores! So nice of you to let us know where you are, and what damage, er, mischief you're up to! Thank goodness Franklin told us about the postcard.

  11. Mais ouai! Indeed the Canadian hay is better...ben mieux quoi! (that was for Lee-Ann). Franklin, I've only just discovered you! Thank you for the daily dose of fiber, Dolores and Latin. You are brightening my day.

  12. I almost understand that woman who kept looking for Dolores when she met you ...

  13. Start with cock-tails by the pool at The Raven, have a fun lunch at Paper Plate Cafe on Bridge Street and then do Tea Dance back at the Raven.

My guest room already smells like wool, so Dolores is welcome to crash ther.

  14. About that trip in October...

I have a feeling I'm too dull for Dolores.
I have tons of wool, but no men just now.
I don't suppose she'd find my evening plans of walking across the bridge to Lambertville and back and then watching the season finale of Deadwood (yeah, Ian McShane)while crocheting very stimulating...

  16. I think Franklin has to worry more about Dolores having PHOTOS at Rhinebeck more than her book...

  17. Heck, I live close enough to New Hope (right outside of Princeton) that she could've gotten a little extra culture up here too. Yeah, some 'ritas at Havana is good. And a visit to some of the white wiccan stores is always fun too....;-)
