Franklin... It is so good to have you home...

Clearly she is not in her right mind.

Welcome home!

That's not remarkable. That's just sick!

That just proves that the people from West Virginia just aren't right. this comes from someone who lives just a few miles from the WV border.

(whimper) That IS sick.

And, bienvenue!

As if!

Wait a minute. Didn't Wendy, of Wendy Knits, mail away a bunch of sock stash and then proceed to buy a whack more?

Kathleen said...

Oh, please. You expect us to believe that? Oh boy, have you ever been away for too long.

I'm going to have to go with the majority here and say out of her ever-lovin' mind. I mean, can't you get the entire back catalog of National Geographic on CD-ROM now?

On the other hand, how many yarn options are there really in Morgantown?

My husband has a large stash of old 'Geo's in one of our closet as well, but you'd better bet they'll be gone long before my yarn..

Yeah, right. Like that would ever happen! No knitter is every going to give away their entire stash. Just ain't gonna happen.

Hey, my husband just took the monumental step of giving away his National Geographics (to an arts organization, where kids will cut them up (!!) for collages). Does this mean I'm entitled to more yarn?

Umm Franklin,
There is still a postscript on "I'm with the sheep" which doesn't make sense now.

Glad to have you back and looking forward to some photos.

All the best,
Dawn

Dear Franklin
I love your blog and read it faithfully, but I am not a poster.

However, this is prompting my first, and probably only post.

we are selling everythig we own, home, land, furniture - the whole enchilada - to buy and live on a boat. BUT - there has to be room on our new place for yarn, or else!

BTW, if you ever want a sailing get away....

Where was I when she was handing out the goodies? I'm sure there's still 4 square feet of space in my house with no yarn in it...

I promise, right after I got the stuff securely locked in my car, I'd have taken her to the medical professionals to get her some meds to help her overcome her psychotic break... really.

unless the yarn was all Red Heart AckRylic, in which case more power to her...

Nik said...

not for some damned National Geographics I wouldn't.

Ann said...

We must assume that the stash in question was all ack, or clearly, the woman is deranged.

But then, after my escape from WV, I was a bit wonky, too.

Is this a tongue-in-cheek attempt at reconciling Buddhist non-acquisitiveness with Knitters' Stash Compulsion?

'cuz it works that way, if you think about it...

I know it's a joke, but it still makes me a little queasy anyway.

That's not sick, it's just defeatist.
